AIBE 20 Registration 2025 Eligibility Criteria

To appear for AIBE 20, candidates must hold a 3-year or 5-year LLB degree from a university or college recognized by the BCI. Final-year LLB students (without any backlogs) can apply by submitting an undertaking and self-attested marksheets from previous semesters. Law graduates who haven’t yet obtained their degree or enrolled with a State Bar Council (or those who surrendered their enrollment) are also eligible, provided they upload relevant marksheets and undertakings during registration. How to Registration AIBE 20 Exam 2025

Applying for AIBE 20 is straightforward and done entirely online. Follow these steps:

  1. Visit the official website at allindiabarexamination.com and click on the “Register for AIBE-XX” link.
  2. Fill in your personal details, including name, email, mobile number, and enrollment details (if applicable), then submit to generate login credentials.
  3. Log in, complete the application form with educational qualifications, category, preferred exam center, and language (available in 11 languages).
  4. Upload required documents such as a passport-sized photo, signature, enrollment certificate (if enrolled), self-attested marksheets (for final-year students or those without degrees), and the undertaking form.
  5. Pay the application fee online using credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI. The fee is Rs. 3500 for General/OBC categories and Rs. 2500 for SC/ST categories (plus applicable bank transaction charges).

Selection Process

AIBE 20 is a qualifying exam with no merit list or ranking. Candidates must score at least 45% (for General/OBC) or 40% (for SC/ST) out of 100 marks to pass and receive the Certificate of Practice. The exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) lasting 3 hours and 30 minutes, conducted offline in pen-and-paper mode. It’s an open-book test, allowing bare acts without notes or commentaries. The syllabus covers 19 law subjects, with varying question weights (e.g., Constitutional Law: 10 questions, IPC/Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita: 8 questions, etc.).
