IIT Guwahati Junior Technician Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following educational qualifications and other requirements for the Junior Technician posts:
- Educational Qualification and Experience:
- ITI Certificate in Electrician Trade with 3 years’ experience in operating 33/11 KV, 11/0.433 KV substations and DG sets.
- ITI Certificate in Carpentry with 3 years’ experience.
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or ITI in Turner with 3 years’ experience in operating CNC machines.
- B.Sc. in Physics or Chemistry, or Diploma/Bachelor’s in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Engineering Physics, Biotechnology, or Chemical Engineering.
- Age Limit: Maximum 27 years as on 15 September 2025. Age relaxation applies for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/Ex-Serviceman candidates as per government rules. There is no upper age limit for regular employees of IIT Guwahati.
