Online Mutual Transfer Portal Assam
The Government of Assam has launched a new portal, the Online Mutual Transfer Portal Assam 2025 (Swagata Satirtha), on 1 January 2025. Through this, employees of Grade III & Grade IV were able to apply for transfers to their home districts. This was of great help to government employees. Documents Required for Online Mutual Transfer

How to Apply For Online Mutual Transfer
Step 1: Click on Apply Now.
Step 2: Select the Register button to create an account.
Step 3: Provide your Phone Number and Email ID.
Step 4: Set a Password and click Submit.
Step 5: Enter the OTP sent to your phone and click Verify & Proceed.
Step 6: Log in and verify your identity using your PAN number registered with FINASSAM.
Step 7: Fill in your personal details, including Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, etc.
Step 8: Provide employment information, such as your Current Posting, Department, Office,
First Joining Date, Current Posting Joining Date, Grade Pay, and Pay Band.
Step 9: Choose up to five preferred transfer locations/districts.
Step 10: Fill in the Additional Information section.
Step 11: Upload the required documents.
Step 12: Preview all details and click Final Submit to complete your application.
How to Send Mutual Transfer Request
After creating the account, you will now have to send a mutual transfer request, for which you will have to follow the steps given below.
Step 1: Go to Dashboard and click on Transfer Request.
Step 2: You will get to see some preferences based on the profile you have given.
Step 3: You will select the person with whom you want to make a mutual transfer and send the Transfer Request.
Step 4: You can manage your request by going to Manage Request section.
Step 5: If both parties agree a joint application is created and submitted to authorities.
Step 6: Your mutual transfer request is accepted then you can go to the portal and download the Joint Transfer Order.
Please note that you will be able to send only one request at a time and its validity will remain for 15 days. If no one accepts it within 15 days, it will be automatically cancelled. If you want to cancel before 15 days, you can also cancel Manually. After 15 days, you will be able to send transfer request again.
