Eligibility Criteria for APSC Recruitment 2025
To apply for these Grade IV positions, candidates need to meet specific requirements. Here’s what you should know:
- Educational Qualification: You must have passed at least Class VIII from a recognized board or institution. The maximum qualification allowed is HSSLC (Class 12) or its equivalent. If you hold any higher degree, like a graduation or above, you’re not eligible to apply. You’ll also need to submit a self-declaration confirming your qualification level.
- Age Limit: Applicants should be between 18 and 40 years old as of 1 January 2025. Relaxations apply as follows:
- 5 years for SC/ST candidates
- 3 years for OBC/MOBC candidates
- 10 years for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)
- 2 years for Ex-Servicemen
- Other Requirements: You must be an Indian citizen and a permanent resident of Assam, with proof like a Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) or Employment Exchange Registration. Registration with an Assam Employment Exchange is mandatory. Additionally, submit a declaration on small family norms during application. For any other specific criteria, such as reservations for PwBD (one post reserved for hearing impaired), check the official notification.

- Step 2: Log in, fill in your personal details, educational qualifications, and other required information accurately.
- Step 3: Upload scanned copies of your documents, including a recent passport-sized photo (50-200 KB, not older than 3 months), signature (50-200 KB), and certificates in PDF format (up to 5 MB each).
- Step 4: Preview everything to ensure no errors, as changes aren’t allowed post-submission.
- Step 5: Pay the processing fee of Rs 47.20 (applicable to all categories) online.
- Step 6: Submit the form and download a printout for your records.
No application fee is required beyond the processing charge, and incomplete forms without payment will be rejected.
